I believe, like most conscious folk (and their numbers seem to be growing daily), that the "war on terrorism" is a fool's game -- and Iraq was/is a tragic gambit.

I'm not a Republican. But, I'm not a Democrat, either. I don't fit neatly into any box, so don't bother trying.

My beautiful Bolivian wife, Ximena, has blessed me with a son we named Matteo Pasquale, after the great explorer Matteo Ricci and my father. Matteo already has a wonderful sister, Sara, who graduated from Berkeley in 2006. I imagine that in about 18 years, we will have a new Moretti as an Cal alum...
